Alicia Shepard, a college teacher, addresses an extremely touchy subject matter in her story " A's pertaining to Everyone”. Many of her pupils often believe " hard work” should be taken into consideration when the professor is calculating last grades. Nevertheless , college students needs to be strictly graded for the effort they turn in because it is unfair to different students, this teaches them a sense of home worth, and because it is a good dose of reality.

College students who hope to acquire a higher class due to the hard work they put into a course will be completely delusional. Colleges and Universities that grade on the numerical scale give a total number of factors at the end with the quarter. If a student did not study to get a test, that reflects on the test score; while a student who also did research receives a better grade. It would not become the least bit reasonable to give the pupil who did not study similar grade since the student whom did research simply because they tried out. At the end of the quarter or semester, the numbers may lie.

A student who argues the point that they can tried very difficult in a study course, therefore they should receive a larger grade, does not receive the worth of what their work is worth. In the event that one teacher changes a students grade for your time and effort they put in to the class they are really teaching that student to expect the same flexibility from other teachers. A rigid grading plan will instruct students what their job is worth and also to receive a better grade, they need to work harder.

Many young people who get into college can also be entering a new world away from their parents. This is a moment for them to place effort within their future, but , a college teacher who is flexible with class changing is usually not teaching the tough luck of the real-world. Reality is, when a student wishes the best class possible, they may put all attempts into bettering their grade rather than waiting until the last grades emerge to make a complaint.
